Support Two Great Charities
The Upper Tampa Bay Education Foundation's 3rd annual Derby Night: Race to Support Education will be on Friday, April 28th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Nielsen Ballroom, 501 Brooker Creek Boulevard, Oldsmar. The event will benefit two great local charities – the Children’s Home Network's SEEDS program and the UTBEF Technical Scholarship program.
Join friends for virtual horse racing, casino games, a Derby hat contest, a live and silent auction, and the best food and drinks from area restaurants and vendors.
Our "hats off" to a great American tradition, the Kentucky Derby is a popular celebration of education with great fun, food, and grand prizes.
The Upper Tampa Bay Education Foundation provides high school seniors with technical scholarships and supports unique and innovative elementary school teaching programs.
The Children’s Home Network SEEDS program ensures at-risk children are ready for kindergarten, promoted at the end of the school year, and reading on level by 3rd grade.
The Upper Tampa Bay Education Foundation awarded it's 2015 scholarships on Tuesday June 9 at the Tampa Bay Downs. This was part of the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards and Installation Banquet. There were over 100 in attendance to recognize those in our community, inclduing our scholars that make this a great place to live, work and play.
